Sydney |Mid-Tier Civil Contractor

$100k - $140k + Super + Vehicle A well-established, mid-tier civil contractor is seeking an experienced Plant & Equipment Allocator to join their growing team.

You'll be responsible for the day-to-day scheduling, allocation, and coordination of heavy plant and equipment across active civil construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and allocate 15-20 pieces of heavy plant machinery
- Plan equipment utilisation schedules based on project timelines and site demands
- Liaise with site teams to forecast upcoming plant requirements
- Manage logistics for plant movements between sites, including transport coordination
- Maintain accurate records of plant location, availability, and utilisation
- Work with maintenance teams to schedule servicing and minimise equipment downtime
- Assist with hire equipment coordination where internal fleet capacity is exceeded
- Support cost control by optimising plant usage and reducing idle time

What We're Looking For

- Proven experience in a plant allocation, scheduling, or fleet coordination role within civil construction or a related heavy industry




- Strong understanding of heavy plant machinery and civil construction operations
- Someone who is motivated by sharing ideas and implenting changing systems
- Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple sites
- Excellent communication skills — you'll be the link between site teams, management, and operators
- Experience with spoils management highly advantageous
- Proficiency with plant management/scheduling software (or Excel)
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and ability to work under pressure
