Troocoo is supporting a critical State Government client with the recruitment of an AO4 Human Resources Officer based in Nerang on the Gold Coast. This is an initial 12-month labour hire contract with potential for extension, offering $60.06-$65.82 per hour plus 12% super.
About The Role
As the AO4 Human Resources Officer, you'll support the delivery of day-to-day HR services across the region, working closely with managers, team leaders and employees on a variety of workforce matters. This is a varied, generalist HR position suited to someone who enjoys balancing stakeholder support, HR administration, reporting and employee lifecycle activities.
You'll be part of a team that plays a key role in ensuring HR processes are delivered efficiently, accurately and in line with legislative and policy requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice and support to leaders and employees across a broad range of HR matters.
- Research and analyse routine HR issues and provide recommendations in line with relevant policies and legislation.
- Coordinate employee onboarding, inductions and separation processes.
- Support establishment management and payroll-related activities through liaison with internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and process HR documentation, forms and personnel records.
- Utilise HR information systems to maintain employee data, generate reports and monitor workforce information.
- Contribute to employee engagement, culture and recognition initiatives across the region.
- Assist with business improvement activities and continuous process enhancement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain productive stakeholder relationships to support positive business outcomes.
- Monitor, collate and report on HR and administrative activities as required.
About You To be considered a competitive applicant for the AO4 Human Resources Officer position, you will demonstrate:
- Experience within a Human Resources, People & Culture or workforce support environment.
- Sound understanding of contemporary HR practices, policies and processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret information and make informed recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the capacity to build robust stakeholder relationships at all levels.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and exercise sound judgement when escalating issues.
- Experience using HR information systems and maintaining accurate workforce data and reporting.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
- Prior Public Sector experience or exposure within a large private infrastructure/transport setting would be highly desirable.
