The Organisation:

An exciting opportunity has become available to join a well-established Queensland Government department that plays an important role in delivering services and outcomes for Queenslanders. You’ll join a team-oriented finance team within an organisation offering flexibility, stability and valuable government experience.

The Role:

As an AO5 Management Accountant, you will support the wider finance function across budgeting, forecasting, reporting and month-end activities. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you’ll provide meaningful financial insights and help support informed decision-making across the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Prepare and analyse budgets, forecasts and financial reports
- Undertake variance analysis and investigate key financial movements
- Provide financial advice and respond to stakeholder queries
- Prepare accurate and timely management reporting
- Support month-end accounting and reporting activities
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting




- Partner with internal stakeholders to support effective financial decision-making

Your Profile:

- Previous experience as a Management Accountant, Finance Business Partner or similar
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis experience
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial data
- Solid analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Previous Queensland Government experience will be highly regarded
