About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and reliable 2nd or 3rd year Apprentice Sheet Metal Worker or someone with previous sheet metal experience wanting to start their apprentice ship to join our team at Wetherill Park.

This is an excellent prospect to learn a trade, gain hands-on experience and develop the skills needed for a long-term career in metal fabrication. You will work alongside experienced tradespeople, learning a range of fabrication techniques and manufacturing processes in a practical, hands-on environment.

On successful completion of your apprenticeship, you will gain a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Light Fabrication).

We welcome applications from people looking to start their apprenticeship, as well as existing apprentices. Second- and third-year apprentices are particularly encouraged to apply.

About You





You are keen to learn, take pride in your work and are committed to developing your skills as a tradesperson. You will also bring:

- A willingness to learn new skills, techniques and processes
- The ability to follow instructions and take direction from experienced tradespeople

- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

- Sound basic mathematical skills

- Confidence using basic computer systems and technology
- A strong focus on quality, safety and attention to detail
- An honest and responsible approach to your work

Previous completion of a pre-vocational metal fabrication course or relevant Metalwork or Engineering subjects at school would be an advantage but is not essential.
