Synergie Australia is seeking an Operational Services Senior Associate for a trusted client located in Broadmeadows.

The important parts:

- Pay: $88,834 - $96,848 + 15.4% Super | ⏳ Duration: 12-month contract (potential for extension)

What you will be required to do:

Multiple APS5 opportunities are available across both Compliance and Investigations streams.

As an APS5 officer, you will work under general direction within a supportive team environment while developing your technical skills and increasing your exposure to regulatory operations.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to build expertise in compliance, investigations, analysis, stakeholder engagement, and legislative administration within the Australian Public Service.

Investigations Officer

As an Investigations Officer, you will:

- Assist with gathering, analysing, and documenting information to support investigations into potential legislative breaches.
- Review financial, operational, and documentary evidence to identify risks, inconsistencies, and compliance concerns.
- Use data and intelligence tools to identify emerging risks, trends, and high-risk behaviours.
- Contribute to the development of compliance strategies and investigative activities.
- Prepare accurate and well-structured reports, briefs, correspondence, and recommendations.
- Support decision-makers through evidence-based analysis and recommendations.

Qualifications in investigations, criminology, regulatory compliance, law enforcement,



or a Certificate IV in Government Investigations (or willingness to obtain) will be highly regarded.

Compliance Officer

As a Compliance Officer, you will:

- Review and assess regulatory submissions and disclosures for accuracy, completeness, and legislative compliance.
- Conduct compliance reviews and quality assurance activities.
- Support the assessment and administration of funding, reporting, and regulatory obligations.
- Analyse information from multiple sources to identify potential compliance issues.
- Assist in preparing compliance advice, reports, and recommendations.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to promote legislative compliance.

Qualifications or demonstrated experience in accounting, auditing, finance, commerce, compliance, or related disciplines will be highly regarded.

To be successful in the role you will:

- Experience supporting compliance, assurance, investigations, auditing, risk, administration, or regulatory functions.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work within established legislative and procedural frameworks.
- Proven analytical skills and the ability to interpret moderately complex information and identify risks or issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.




- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes within deadlines.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build productive working relationships with stakeholders.
- Adaptability and resilience when working in an evolving regulatory workplace.
- A commitment to integrity, professionalism, and public service values.
- Applicants must be Australian citizens at the time of engagement.
- Successful candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.
