The Department:

Centrally located federal government department.

The Role:

We are helping this department to recruit a number of APS5 and APS6 finance business partner roles which are available for an immediate start via a 12 months non-ongoing contract. Your duties will include:

- EOM and EOFY reporting
- Variance analysis and monthly management reporting packs
- WIP and other regular reporting and analysis on project financials
- Budget management advice and scenario planning

The roles have multiple stakeholders which will see you quickly develop an internal brand within the business area. You’ll directly engage with SES1 and EL2s and will need to be confident in your ability to do this. They are looking for someone who can engage with clients, and have the technical ability to confidently collate, analyse and deliver financial advice.



The area is fast moving and has developed a supportive culture and environment.

The APS5 role will focus on the coordination and support for these duties, whereas the APS6 level is where you’ll demonstrate more technical prowess.

Your Skills and Experience:

You are an experienced skilled with federal government accounting experience at the APS5/6 level or equivalent. Exposure to broad finance roles such as business partnering is highly regarded. Stakeholder engagement is one of your strengths and something that you thrive on.

You must be an Australian Citizen with an NV1 clearance or higher to be able to start in this role.
