Inspiration Trees

Byron Bay

Raise the standard. Join a crew that does that.

Inspiration Trees is hiring a skilled Arborist to join our Residential team. You’re not just trimming trees, you're the person who shows up, sees what needs doing, and gets it done right. We need an all-rounder who's comfortable on the ground, confident operating machinery, and resourceful enough to solve problems as they arise.

This is a permanent, full-time, Monday–Friday role in a professional crew that genuinely cares about tree work, the team, and doing it well.

The Opportunity

Every property you transform. Every tree you care for. Every client relationship you build. That's you creating outdoor spaces people love and protecting the health of trees that matter to them.

This is premium arboriculture where versatility, practical skill, and sound judgment matter—because property owners trust us with their most valued trees and landscapes. You're the person who can tackle any part of the job: climbing when needed, operating machinery, problem-solving on the fly, and always leaving clients impressed.

You’ll Master:

- Read trees like a surgeon – Assess health, structure, and risk. Recommend pruning, removal, or care strategies. Know what needs doing before you start.
- Ground-level expertise – Work efficiently at all levels. Chip, haul, cleanup, site management. You're comfortable getting your hands dirty and seeing the job through completely.
- Machinery mastery – Operate chippers, EWPs, and other equipment with confidence and precision. Keep machines running and know how to troubleshoot basic issues.
- Problem-solving on the fly – Things rarely go exactly to plan. You adapt, innovate, and find practical solutions without needing to call for help.
- Technical rigging when needed – Navigate complex situations with climbing and rigging skills.

Know your limits and when to bring in specialist support.
- Premium client experiences – Communicate clearly with property owners. Explain what you're doing and why. Leave properties cleaner than you found them. Build relationships that last
- Site leadership – Organise effective work, manage crew safety, ensure quality standards. You're the person who makes things happen.

Who You Are

You'll fit this role if:

- You actually want a career, not just a paycheck
- You're physically capable and enjoy working outdoors in all conditions
- You show up (reliably and on time—that matters to us)
- You're willing to learn and ask questions
- You take pride in doing things properly
- You work well in a team and respect authority
- You've got integrity and honesty—that's non-negotiable
- Comfortable climbing and working at height

Skills and qualifications:

- Certificate III in Arboriculture
- EWP ticket
- Chainsaw and Chipper tickets
- Current Construction White Card
- Current Manual Driver’s License
- Reliable transport to get to and from our depot
- Current Medium Rigid (MR) License
