Assist with forecasting future plant and equipment requirements based on project pipelines and operational demands.

Work collaboratively with project and operational teams to optimise asset allocation.
Identify opportunities for standardisation across the company's asset base.
Ensure assets are managed in accordance with relevant safety, compliance and legislative requirements.
Provide regular reporting and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Demonstrated experience managing a significant fleet of heavy plant, vehicles and equipment.
Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management and maintenance principles.
Experience developing CAPEX budgets, replacement programs and asset strategies.
Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of utilisation, operating costs and return on investment.
Experience working closely with workshops, maintenance and operational teams.
Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
The ability to influence senior management and make commercially sound recommendations.
A practical understanding of heavy equipment and the challenges associated with operating assets across multiple sites.
Strong organisational and planning skills.
A proactive approach to continuous improvement.
A trade qualification in heavy diesel, mobile plant, mechanical engineering or a related discipline would be highly regarded, particularly supported by strong asset management and commercial experience.
Why Join?
This is an opportunity to join a growing and diverse WA contractor where you will have real influence over the company's asset strategy.
You will be working across a broad range of operations rather than managing a single fleet or site, providing exposure to civil construction, rail, marine, infrastructure maintenance and fabrication.
The successful candidate will have the autonomy to make improvements, implement better systems and processes, influence capital investment decisions and help drive the long-term performance of the company's asset base.
