- Process library payments and complete receipting and banking reconciliation accurately and in accordance with procedures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and external library organisations to support effective resource sharing and service delivery.
- Contribute to reviews of library processes and procedures and identify opportunities to improve the customer experience.
- Support a positive and collaborative team culture by sharing knowledge, receiving feedback and supporting colleagues.
About you

You’ll bring
- Experience and knowledge of library services, particularly inter-library loans, collections, and the cataloguing of digital and physical resources.
- Strong catalogue, database and online searching skills, with the ability to locate and access a wide range of library materials.
- A demonstrated commitment to high-quality, inclusive and responsive customer service.
- The ability to confidently manage groups when delivering programs such as children’s story time, digital literacy sessions and community workshops.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with customers, colleagues and external organisations.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records, manage transactions and prioritise competing tasks within established timeframes.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively to a collaborative workplace.
It would be great if you also have
- A Certificate IV, Diploma or other qualification in Library and Information Services.
- Experience working in a public library or similar information service.
