We are partnering with a fast-growing, privately owned advisory firm in Sydney CBD that is continuing to expand through organic growth and recent acquisitions.

With a diverse client base spanning high-net-worth individuals, professionals, business owners and established businesses, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Assistant Manager looking to step into a role with greater client ownership, exposure and a clear pathway towards Manager.

The Role

As an Assistant Manager, you will have the chance to:

- Manage a diverse portfolio of clients across tax and business advisory

- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships

- Act as a trusted point of contact for your clients and work closely with business owners and HNW individuals

- Review financial statements, tax returns and compliance work

- Provide commercial and value-add advice to clients

- Support and mentor junior accountants within the team

- Work closely with the Partners and senior leadership team

- Take ownership of your career with a clear pathway towards Manager and beyond

About You

We are looking for someone who is ready to take the next step in their public practice career and is looking for more than just another compliance role.

You will ideally have

- CA/CPA qualification or be working towards completion

- Previous experience in a Business Services / Tax environment

- Experience managing a portfolio of clients

- Experience mentoring and reviewing Junior Accountants work

- Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A commercial mindset and genuine interest in understanding your clients' businesses
- The ambition to progress towards Manager level
