Senior Associate – Personal Injury / General Liability

Moss & Co Consulting is partnering with a highly regarded national law firm to appoint an experienced Lawyer / Senior Associate into its established Melbourne Liability team.

This isn’t simply another insurance litigation role.

You’ll be joining one of Australia’s recognised insurance practices – a large national platform with a particularly strong reputation across Insurance, Personal Injury Litigation and Public & Product Liability.

The Melbourne office itself is substantial, with more than 140 partners and lawyers, while still offering the prospect to work closely with senior practitioners and have genuine ownership of your matters.

The opportunity

Working within an established and highly experienced Liability team, you’ll advise major insurers, corporate clients and government organisations across complex defendant litigation.

The practice covers a broad range of matters including:

- Public and product liability
- Complex personal injury claims
- Occupiers’ liability
- Property damage
- Workers’ compensation
- Intentional torts
- Coronial matters
- Class actions and other complex litigated claims

You’ll work closely with highly regarded senior lawyers who are recognised within the Victorian insurance market, with exposure to matters ranging from day to day liability claims through to complex, multimillion-dollar litigation. Importantly, this is a role where you’ll have the opportunity to take genuine ownership.

You’ll manage matters, work directly with clients, contribute to strategy and continue building your own reputation and relationships within the insurance market, while having the support and resources of a large national practice around you.

About you We’re interested in speaking with lawyers with experience across Personal Injury, General Liability, Public Liability or broader defendant insurance litigation. You may already be operating at Senior Associate level, or you could be an experienced Lawyer ready to take the next step.

You’ll ideally bring strong litigation and file management experience, commercial judgement and the confidence to develop relationships with insurer and corporate clients.

Above all, we’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys this area of practice and wants to continue developing within a busy, high quality insurance team.
