Qualified Baker – Piehole (Cessnock and Nulkada)

- Ability to be available to work a adaptable roster, which will include shifts from 4 AM to 12:00PM.

- This is a full-time position, offering approximately 38 hours per week.

Piehole is seeking motivated, enthusiastic and energetic Qualified Baker to join the Bakery.

Key Responsibilities

- Preparation and production of quality bakery products. Training will be provided for recipe.

- Inspect equipment and premises before production to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

- Evaluate raw materials and weigh ingredients to maintain quality standards.

- Mix, knead, mature, cut, mould, and shape dough and pastry goods.

- Prepare pastry fillings for various baked products.

- Operate machines for rolling, moulding dough, and cutting biscuits.





- Monitor oven temperatures and product appearance to determine optimal baking times.

- Coordinate the forming, baking, cooling, and de-panning of bread, rolls, and pastry batches.

- Glaze buns and pastries and decorate cakes with icing or cream.

- Clean, grease, and empty baking trays, tins, and equipment after use.

To be considered for this role you need to be able to meet the following selection criteria.

- Ability to be available for work across the 7 days of the week, which may include evening work and some public holidays (starting times can be as early as 4am)

- Work in a fast-paced team environment and communicate with customers and staff.

- Portray a positive attitude

- Complete duties as directed by your manager/supervisor

- Abide by company policies and procedures at all times

- Train, develop and supervise apprentices and staff in the Bakery Department

- Have an eye for detail

Applicants with Minimum of 1 year experience or Certificate III in Baking, as a Baker will have advantage for this role.
