Looking for an Experienced Bangladeshis/ Bengali (Bangla) Speaking Support Worker

About the role:

We are looking for a caring and reliable support worker who speaks Bengali (Bangla) to support clients in the Truganina area. Days and hours are flexible. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a solid work ethic, genuine empathy, and the ability to provide person-centred support to participants with diverse needs.

Duties may include:

- Assisting clients with meal preparation
- Helping with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying
- Providing friendly, respectful support in the client's home
- Communicating with clients in Bengali (Bangla) and English

About you:

- Fluent in Bengali (Bangla), with conversational English
- Patient, dependable and respectful of clients' culture and routines
- Able to travel to Truganina and surrounding suburbs
- Experience in disability, aged or community care is welcome but not essential

Mandatory Compliance Requirements: All of the following are non-negotiable requirements. You must hold these or be actively in the process of obtaining them prior to your first shift:

- Disability Qualification (e.g., Certificate III or IV in Disability)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check




- Current Working with Children Check (WWC)
- Current Police Check
- Current First Aid certificate
- Current CPR certificate
- Completed NDIS Worker Orientation Module
- Completed Supporting Safe and Enjoyable Meals training (or willingness to complete prior to commencement)
- A personal car and a valid driver’s license
- Comprehensive Car Insurance
