About the role

Fitzy's is an iconic hotel on the Darling Downs bringing the very best of lunch, dinner, drinks, functions and more – 7 days a week. A family owned pub with a long and exciting history in Toowoomba. We are now looking for Gaming Attendants and Bar staff.

In the Gaming role you will be responsible for helping our gaming patrons, preparing and dispensing beverages and providing exceptional customer service.

For Bar staff, you will be providing friendly and attentive service, preparing and serving a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, taking food orders and delivering to the tables, and collaborating with the team to ensure the smooth running of the bar.

Key responsibilities

- Ensuring excellent and qualified client service all of the time
- Having a good knowledge of the gaming industry and environment
- Follow gaming legislation, standards and procedures
- Adhere to responsible service of alcohol and licencing provisions
- Establish a good professional relationship with existing and new clients
- Good cash handling skills
- Managing Keno function
- Carry out RSG practices and have an RSG licence
- Preparing and serving a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages




- Taking food orders and delivering to the tables

About you

- Previous experience in a similar bar or hospitality role - 12 months
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly demeanour
- Knowledge of responsible service of alcohol and bar operations
- RSA certification must be obtained before starting employment
- A passion for the hospitality industry and delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Able to work over weekends, with essential availability Saturday nights on a regular basis
- A hand on approach, be self-driven and most importantly a team player
