About the Role

Wolf Lane Distillery is seeking an experienced Bartender to join our team at our Cairns distillery and cellar door.

This is a full-time position combining qualified bartending with cellar-door service, spirit tastings, retail sales, customer engagement and supporting the promotion of the Wolf Lane Distillery brand.

The successful applicant will have strong bartending and customer-service experience, a genuine interest in spirits and cocktails, and the confidence to provide engaging experiences for both locals and visitors to the distillery.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and serve cocktails, spirits and other beverages to a consistently high standard.
- Provide professional and engaging bar and cellar-door service.
- Conduct spirit tastings and communicate product information to customers.
- Develop and maintain strong knowledge of Wolf Lane Distillery's range of spirits and liqueurs.
- Provide recommendations and assist customers with retail purchases.
- Process bar and retail transactions using the venue's POS system.
- Maintain the cleanliness, organisation and presentation of the bar, cellar door and retail areas.
- Monitor and replenish bar and retail stock.
- Assist with stock control and general venue operations.
- Assist with functions, tastings, product launches, tourism experiences and distillery events.




- Engage with customers and provide a welcoming and informative distillery experience.
- Assist with capturing photo and video content of cocktails, products, events and experiences for Wolf Lane Distillery's social media channels.
- Assist with the creation of short-form social media content, including Instagram Reels, Stories and posts.
- Represent the Wolf Lane Distillery brand professionally both in person and through digital content.
- Work collaboratively with management and the wider hospitality and distillery team.

Skills and Experience To be considered for this position, applicants should have:
- Previous bartending experience in a bar, restaurant, distillery or similar hospitality environment.
- Strong cocktail preparation and beverage knowledge.
- Knowledge of spirits and an interest in the Australian distilling industry.
- Excellent customer-service and communication skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Confidence communicating product information and recommendations to customers.
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling.
- Strong attention to detail and presentation.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.




- Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
- A current Queensland Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate, or the ability to obtain one prior to commencing employment.

Experience in cellar-door operations, premium spirits, retail sales, tourism, cocktail development or social media content creation will be highly regarded.

Wolf Lane Distillery is a Cairns-based distillery producing a range of Australian spirits and liqueurs. Our cellar door allows locals and visitors to experience our products through cocktails, spirit tastings, retail sales and distillery experiences.

We are looking for an experienced bartender who can deliver excellent drinks and customer service while becoming a knowledgeable ambassador for the Wolf Lane Distillery brand.
