JOIN THE MNDAWA BOARD

Help shape the future of MND support in Western Australia The Motor Neurone Disease Association of WA Inc. (MNDAWA) delivers person-centred support and specialist care to people affected by MND, their families and carers across Western Australia.

At our Annual General Meeting on Monday 23 November 2026, all Board positions will be declared vacant, as required by our Rules of Association, and members will elect the Board for the coming term. Current Board Members may renominate. We also warmly welcome interest from current people who can help strengthen our governance, sustainability and strategic capability.

What every Board Member needs:

- A genuine commitment to improving the lives of people living with MND, their families and carers
- Sound, independent judgement and a willingness to contribute constructively to Board discussion and decisions
- Capacity to attend around 12 Board and committee meetings a year, plus occasional planning workshops




- Membership of MNDAWA before nominating (we will help you with this)
- NDIS Worker Screening clearance before taking up the role

Highly desirable

Experience in one or more of: legal, commercial or property matters; corporate or not-for-profit governance; human resources and workforce; financial or organisational sustainability; lived experience of MND as a person with MND, family member or carer.

Board positions are voluntary. Board Members are covered by Directors' and Officers' insurance.

Send a brief statement of interest (up to 500 words) and your CV or professional profile to Trudy Renshaw at *@mndawa.asn.au by 5pm Friday 30 October 2026.

Our President will then contact you for an initial conversation about the role. If it's a good fit for both of us, we'll guide you through joining MNDAWA as a member and lodging your nomination for election.
