PATRICKS
Queens Park
Sydney | Full-time, office-based (5 days per week)
PATRICKS is an award-winning Australian men’s grooming brand focused on high-performance hair, skin, and body care products. Founded in 2013, the company combines cutting-edge science, premium ingredients, and uncompromising formulations, with all products made in the USA and sold globallys. The team is driven by continuous improvement, aiming for better formulas, packaging, design, performance, and fragrance in every release.
The brand has been recognized by leading publications including GQ, Esquire, Men’s Health, and Robb Report.
The opportunity
PATRICKS is looking for an experienced, commercially minded Bookkeeper to take ownership of our day-to-day finance function and help build the systems, reporting and commercial insight behind our next stage of growth.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role in a fast-growing global men’s grooming brand operating across Australia, the US and UK. You’ll work across multiple sales channels, manufacturers, warehouses and 3PLs; ensuring our books, inventory and systems are accurate, connected and useful to the business.
Initially, the role will be approximately 60% bookkeeping, with the remainder focused on inventory, systems, reporting and commercial analysis. It is a full-time, office-based role in Bondi Junction, five days per week . This is not a remote or hybrid position.
What you’ll do
You’ll own the core day-to-day finance function, including accounts payable, payment runs, reconciliations, Xero, month-end journals and maintaining accurate financial records.
You’ll also work closely with our Operations team to improve inventory accuracy, COGS and landed-cost reporting, reconcile inventory across Cin7, Shopify and our 3PLs, and investigate discrepancies at their source.
Beyond the numbers, you’ll help build better reporting and processes: supporting budgeting and forecasting,
analysing margins and costs and identifying opportunities to improve working capital.
A key part of the role is taking ownership of our finance and inventory systems. You do not need to be a Cin7 expert today, but you should enjoy understanding how systems work, spotting gaps and making processes more reliable and efficient.
About you
You may currently be a Bookkeeper, Assistant Accountant, Finance Officer or similar, and be ready for more ownership, commercial exposure and systems responsibility.
You’ll ideally bring
- Solid hands-on bookkeeping experience, including AP, payment runs, reconciliations and month-end
- Excellent Xero knowledge and strong Excel or Google Sheets skills
- Experience preparing or contributing to P&Ls;, Balance Sheets and management reporting
- Experience with inventory, physical products or landed costs
- Strong systems aptitude and confidence investigating discrepancies
- Commercial curiosity: you want to understand why performance has changed, not simply report the numbers
- A proactive, detail-oriented and solutions-focused approach
Experience with Cin7, Shopify, eCommerce, FMCG, 3PLs or multi-location inventory will be highly regarded. Experience in a small-to-medium-sized, fast-moving business is also highly desirable. We’re a lean, entrepreneurial team, so this role suits someone who is autonomous, resourceful and happy moving between detailed execution, problem-solving and commercial analysis.
Where the role can go
We’re looking for someone who wants to grow with the business. As our systems and processes improve, the role will increasingly focus on financial management, systems improvement and commercial analysis.
For the right person, there is a clear opportunity to grow into a broader Finance Manager or Finance & Systems Manager position.
Our goal is simple: accurate books, accurate inventory, systems we can trust, and financial information that helps us make better decisions.
