A Gold Coast accounting firm with a strong local client base is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to take on a senior level portfolio. The practice works with a mix of owner-managed businesses, trade groups and professional services clients, and has built its reputation on getting the fundamentals right and communicating clearly.

The team is modern, tech-savvy and keen to keep improving how it works, with cloud-based systems and automation tools already part of the daily workflow. Demand from existing clients has created this opportunity for a confident bookkeeper who is ready to be properly recognised for their experience.

THE ROLE:

Reporting to an experienced team you will own a portfolio of established clients and be their go-to person for day-to-day financial administration.

- Full cycle bookkeeping including bank reconciliations, AP and AR

- Payroll processing,



superannuation and STP reporting

- BAS and IAS preparation and review

- Month end close and management reporting for clients

- Training and supporting junior bookkeepers as the team grows

- Working with the accountants to keep client files accurate and on time

THE INDIVIDUAL:

- Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting, or higher

- Strong bookkeeping experience, ideally within a public practice workplace

- Advanced working knowledge of Xero and MYOB

- Confident communicator who can manage clients directly

- Detail focused, self-driven and comfortable managing competing deadlines
