We are seeking a Building and Construction Lawyer (2+ PAE) to join our busy and well-established team, which has a strong client base and steady workflow. This position is available for an immediate start, or at a mutually agreed time.

This position is available for Brisbane. We welcome applications from those currently at Associate or Senior Associate level. The successful candidate may be appointed at a commensurate title, depending on experience and fit.

We act for Principals, Contractors, Subcontractors and Consultants, providing comprehensive front-end and back-end construction law services.

Our team is renowned for delivering timely, cost-effective solutions for our clients. We have expertise across all areas of the building and construction industry, from preparing contracts and subcontracts, providing training and advice, managing litigation, and preparing and responding to payment claims, schedules and adjudication applications.

The Role

You will work under the direct supervision of our Building and Construction Partner in the areas of:

- Front-end contract drafting, negotiation and administration
- Providing advice on construction-related issues, prospects, options and recommended courses of action
- Preparing and responding to payment claims, payment schedules and adjudication applications
- Advising on, preparing, lodging and responding to statutory notices
- Dispute resolution in Construction Litigation

Your work will be generated from our existing client base, which is significantly and continuously expanding.

- have 2+ PAE in Building and Construction Law and a strong understanding of relevant legislation
- possess strong negotiation and litigation skills
- have experience drafting legal documents and agreements
- possess excellent communication, time management and organisational skills
- are eligible to work in Australia (Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident)
