Modular and prefabricated construction is changing the way buildings are designed and delivered in Australia, and this business is right in the middle of it.

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager who understands the construction industry, enjoys getting in front of clients and has the commercial and technical ability to turn early conversations into real projects.

This isn't about selling a standard product off a price list.

You'll be involved from the early stages of a project, working with developers, architects, consultants, government and other key stakeholders to understand what they're trying to achieve, identify where a modular solution makes sense and ultimately win the project.

What you'll be doing:

You'll take ownership of developing new business across a range of sectors including residential, commercial, education, community and specialist projects.

Your role will involve

- Building relationships with developers, architects, consultants, government and other project stakeholders
- Identifying projects early and getting involved before specifications and decisions are locked in
- Having commercially minded conversations around design, feasibility, cost, compliance and delivery
- Developing opportunities from initial enquiry through to proposal, tender and conversion
- Working closely with internal design, estimating and project teams to develop the right solution
- Preparing and presenting proposals, EOIs and tender responses
- Representing the business at industry events and developing your network across the market

It's a role where understanding the project, asking the right questions and building trust will matter just as much as your sales ability.

What we're looking for:

We're open to different backgrounds, but you'll need a solid understanding of the construction and built environment sectors.





You could come from modular or prefabricated construction, building products, architectural sales, construction, building design, architecture or a related technical field.

More importantly, you'll be someone who:

- Has a proven track record in BDM, project sales or consultative sales
- Is comfortable dealing with multiple stakeholders and longer sales cycles
- Can confidently discuss design, construction, planning and compliance
- Understands how projects progress from concept through to delivery
- Is commercially driven and enjoys winning new business
- Can operate autonomously while working closely with a technical and project-focused team
- Builds relationships naturally and isn't reliant on a hard-sell approach
- A qualification in architecture, building design, construction management or a related discipline would be highly regarded.

You'll be selling a genuinely different way of delivering buildings, backed by an experienced team, local manufacturing capability and a business with ambitious plans for growth.

You'll have plenty of autonomy, strong technical support and the chance to get involved in projects much earlier than you would in a traditional construction sales role.

The package is $120K–$140K + Super + Car/Car Allowance + Uncapped Commission.
