Your new role

This is a unique opportunity for a CAD / Hardware Design Engineer to contribute across the full design lifecycle, combining hands-on 3D CAD expertise with broader hardware engineering and integration exposure.You will play a key role in the design, development, and validation of components and systems for complex land platforms, supporting both prototype and production environments.

- Develop high-quality 3D CAD models and detailed drawings using Creo Parametric
- Design and validate mechanical and electrical components and subsystems for complex vehicle platforms
- Produce and maintain engineering documentation in line with standards and regulatory requirements
- Conduct tolerance analysis and support design optimisation to ensure manufacturability and performance
- Support prototyping, integration, testing, and validation activities
- Work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver integrated design solutions
- Manage CAD data, drawings, and configurations within PLM systems (e.g. Windchill)
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards,

What you'll need to succeed

- Degree, diploma, or equivalent in Engineering or a related discipline
- Proven experience in 3D CAD design (Creo Parametric preferred)
- Experience in design and manufacturing environments (defence, automotive, or heavy vehicles advantageous)
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, materials, and design principles
- Experience with tolerance analysis and design validation
- Work on highly secure, nationally significant defence programs
- Exposure to advanced engineering and vehicle design technologies
- Collaborative, multidisciplinary engineering workplace
- Strong long-term career pathways within the defence sector
