At The Sicilian, we serve an authentic Italian experience, from handmade pasta to rich, carefully pulled espresso. Our busy Forster venue is a little slice of Italy for locals and visitors alike, and our coffee is at the heart of it.

About the Role

As Cafe Supervisor, you’ll run the coffee and cafe side of the venue day to day. You’ll lead a small team of baristas and floor staff, keep our standards high, and make sure every guest gets a great cup and a warm welcome.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and support the cafe team during service, allocating tasks and keeping things running smoothly in a fast-paced environment
- Prepare and serve espresso, cappuccino, lattes and other coffee beverages to a consistently high standard
- Train and coach baristas and new team members on coffee quality, service and venue standards
- Deliver friendly, attentive customer service, make recommendations, and resolve guest issues on the spot
- Maintain a clean, organised coffee station and cafe floor in line with food safety and hygiene requirements
- Assist with opening and closing procedures, stock ordering, cash handling and rostering support




- Work closely with the Restaurant Manager to keep service seamless across the venue

About You

- Previous experience as a barista, with some supervisory or team leader experience (preferred)
- A genuine passion for coffee and great customer service
- A keen eye for detail and consistency in every cup
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills, with a natural ability to lead by example
- Flexibility to work a mix of shifts, including weekends
- RSA certificate (or willingness to obtain one)

Pay: $35.00 – $40.00 per hour
