About the role The Café & Restaurant Manager will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of the business, leading our hospitality team and ensuring consistently high standards of customer service, food quality, workplace safety and operational efficiency. This is a hands-on management position suited to an experienced hospitality professional who is confident leading a team and managing the operational and commercial aspects of a busy café and restaurant.

Key responsibilities

- Overseeing the daily operations of the café and restaurant
- Managing staff rosters, shifts and day-to-day staffing requirements
- Recruiting, training, supervising and supporting hospitality staff
- Leading the team to maintain consistently high customer service standards
- Managing stock levels, ordering, receiving and inventory control
- Monitoring food, beverage and operational costs
- Assisting with budgeting, sales targets and profit and loss management
- Maintaining appropriate workplace health and safety and food safety standards
- Ensuring compliance with relevant hospitality, licensing and workplace requirements
- Working closely with the kitchen team to maintain food quality and presentation

About you





- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a hospitality management or supervisory role
- Previous experience in a café, restaurant or similar hospitality environment
- Strong leadership and team-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with staff rostering, training and supervision
- Experience with stock control and supplier management
- Understanding of food safety, workplace health and safety and hospitality compliance
- Ability to understand and monitor sales, costs, budgets and operational performance
- Solid customer service and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
