About the Role The Flying Horse Cafe is looking for a reliable, motivated and experienced Casual Cook to join our friendly and supportive kitchen team.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a team environment, takes pride in preparing fresh, quality food and can confidently assist with daily kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Preparing and cooking breakfast and lunch menu items to a high standard.
- Assisting with daily food preparation and kitchen setup.
- Maintaining consistency in food quality, presentation and portion sizes.
- Ensuring food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards are maintained.
- Working efficiently during service while maintaining attention to detail.
- Assisting with stock rotation, storage and general kitchen duties.
- Working collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams.





About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a commercial kitchen.
- Previous experience in a cafe kitchen (preferred).
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good time management and organisational skills.
- A positive attitude, reliability and a strong work ethic.
- A passion for preparing and presenting quality food.
- Availability to work a minimum of 3 days per week, including at least 1 weekend day.

Hours & Availability This is a casual position offering a minimum of 3 days per week.

Shift times

- 7:00am – 3:00pm
- 9:00am – 3:00pm

Applicants must be available to work at least one weekend day. Pay: $28.00 – $40.00 per hour
