Brisbane Rheumatology is a specialist practice at 135 Wickham Terrace, Spring Hill, with ten rheumatologists across Level 3 and Level 9. We care for patients with rheumatic and musculoskeletal conditions, providing evidence-based treatment and compassionate care. We're growing, and we're building a pool of reliable casual receptionists to support our team.

About the role

As a casual medical receptionist, you'll work on our front desk across Level 3 and Level 9, supporting our specialists and patients on the days that suit you. You'll join an experienced, supportive reception team, with full training in our systems. Part time is also considered. Studying biomedical science or another health degree? This role is a great way to gain hands-on experience in a specialist practice.

What we offer

- $37–$42 per hour including 25% casual loading, depending on experience

- Flexible weekday shifts, Monday to Friday, that fit around study or other commitments

- Full training in our systems and procedures
- A supportive, collegial team, with more hours available as the practice grows

What you'll be doing





- Answering phones and managing bookings for our specialists

- Welcoming patients, checking them in and out, and processing payments

- Checking referrals are valid and on file before appointments

- Handling correspondence, scanning and general administration

- Maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy at all times

What we're looking for

- At least 12 months' experience in medical reception (specialist practice preferred)

- Friendly, calm and clear on the phone, even when it's busy

- Accurate with data entry and patient details

- Available for at least two weekdays a week, or for leave and school-holiday cover

- Gentu or other practice management software experience, or a Certificate III/IV in Health Administration, is highly regarded
