About Us

Hanami Asian Street Food is a busy and well-established Asian Fusion restaurant located in the heart of Coolum Beach on the Sunshine Coast.

We are passionate about creating fresh, high-quality Asian-inspired dishes and delivering an outstanding dining experience.

We are currently looking for experienced, reliable and motivated Casual and Part-Time Chefs to join our kitchen team.

Pay Rates

Hourly rates will be discussed based on qualifications, skills, experience and employment type, in accordance with the applicable award.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of Asian Fusion dishes to a consistently high standard.
- Maintain food quality, presentation and consistency.
- Follow recipes, portion sizes and kitchen procedures.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
- Assist with food preparation, stock rotation and inventory management.
- Work efficiently during busy service periods.
- Support and work collaboratively with other kitchen team members.
- Assist with training junior kitchen staff when required.

Skills & Experience

We are looking for applicants who have:





- Relevant commercial kitchen experience.
- Experience in Asian Fusion, Japanese or Modern Asian cuisine is highly regarded.
- A Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification) is preferred.
- Good knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- A positive attitude, reliability and good teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and follow kitchen procedures.

Pay: $27.00 – $42.00 per hour

Experience:
- Kitchen: 2 years (Preferred)
