About the role

Join our team at Grounded 2050, a historic and iconic venue in Camperdown. This is a permanent full-time Chef position working 38 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

- Creating meal plans, calculating expenses for both food and labour, and procuring necessary food supplies

- Supervising the quality of dishes during all phases of preparation and presentation

- Engaging in conversations about food preparation matters with Managers, Dietitians, and both kitchen and serving personnel

- Illustrating cooking techniques and offering guidance on cooking procedures

- Getting food ready and cooking it

- Clarifying and ensuring compliance with hygiene regulations

- Possibly recruiting and instructing staff

- Potentially freezing and preserving food items

About you

- Excellent English skills
- The right to work in Australia





- Certificate IV in commercial cookery or relevant qualification related to the field

- Minimum of 2 years of work experience

- Team management skills

- Ability to work in a fast paced environment

- Strong time management skills

- Proficiency in all aspects of food safety

- Positive communication skills, energy and attitude
