Casual Cook – Immediate Start (Hourly Rate)

Helliwell Hospitality is seeking an experienced and motivated Cook to join the team at Surf Air. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-quality kitchen environment.

About the Role In this hands-on position, you will:

- Deliver high-quality food preparation and presentation at all times
- Manage stock levels in line with company procedures and recipes
- Maintain strict food hygiene and safety standards
- Keep a clean, organised kitchen during and after service
- Support the Head Chef with cost control and achieving budget targets
- Work both independently and collaboratively within the kitchen team

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience (prep and à la carte – lunch & dinner essential)
- Relevant trade qualifications
- Experience in fast-paced, service-driven venues
- A passion for food and a strong guest focus




- Solid understanding of food hygiene practices
- Ability to perform under pressure with strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- A team-first mindset with the ability to work unsupervised
