VP HOLDINGS GROUP PTY LTD Tendon Kohaku – East Victoria Park, WA Position: Chef Location: East Victoria Park, WA Employment Type: Full-time Salary: $80,000 superannuation Key Responsibilities Plan menus and estimate food and labour costs. Order food supplies and kitchen equipment. Check the quality of food and ingredients.

Prepare and cook food in accordance with recipes and established standards. Prepare and cook Japanese dishes, including tempura, tendon, udon, curry and other menu items. Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment.

Prepare, season and cook food as directed, including preparing ingredients and sauces. Portion, present and garnish food to the required standard. Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff in the preparation and cooking of food.

Discuss food preparation issues with managers, dietitians and kitchen staff where required. Demonstrate cooking techniques and advise on cooking procedures. Maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation.

Skills and Experience Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Chef. Relevant commercial cookery qualification, such as Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent .



Further qualifications in kitchen management or hospitality, such as Certificate IV in Kitchen Management or a Diploma of Hospitality Management, will be highly regarded .

Experience in Japanese cuisine is highly desirable. Solid knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations. Ability to work effectively in a busy restaurant kitchen. Strong attention to food quality, presentation and consistency.
