We are partnering with a well-established Australian vertical SaaS business seeking a commercially minded CEO to lead its next phase of growth.

The business has a strong customer base, proprietary software and a clear opportunity to accelerate growth through sharper go-to-market execution, continued product development and greater operational scale.

This is a hands-on CEO mandate. The successful candidate will work closely with the Board to set the strategy, while remaining deeply involved in its execution.

The mandate

Key priorities will include

- Strengthening the go-to-market strategy, including sales, marketing, pricing and customer growth
- Developing a clear product strategy and roadmap, balancing customer needs, commercial opportunity and investment priorities
- Improving customer implementation, retention and overall customer experience
- Building a high-performing leadership team and scalable operating model
- Identifying opportunities for automation, AI and improved internal productivity
- Exploring logical product, customer and market adjacencies
- Creating the platform for meaningful revenue and earnings growth

The person We are open to two broad profiles:





An experienced CEO / Managing Director who enjoys operating in a smaller, entrepreneurial software environment; or A high-calibre step-up candidate with substantial leadership experience who is ready to take full ownership of a business.

The strongest candidates are likely to bring:

- Solid commercial and GTM capability
- Genuine understanding of software/SaaS product strategy
- Experience driving growth, change and organisational improvement
- Strong commercial judgement around pricing, customer economics and investment priorities
- The ability to move comfortably between strategy and hands-on execution
- Experience leading and developing teams in a relatively lean environment
- Full P&L; experience, or clear readiness to assume it

Prior CEO experience is attractive, but not essential. We are equally interested in exceptional commercial, product or general management leaders who can demonstrate the breadth and judgement required to step into a CEO role. The role will be Melbourne based and offers a base salary of $280,000 + super + short-term incentive + long-term incentive.
