Normal | Australia | Full-time | Hybrid & remote-friendly, Sydney preferred

Normal is an Australian sexual wellness brand making pleasure easier to explore through thoughtfully designed contemporary products, empowering free education and an approachable friendly brand voice making this important space accessible to a new generation of customers.

Normal has a strong direct-to-consumer business, a growing B2B presence with major Australian retail partners including Bras N Things, and a growing international audience across our US, UK, Canada and New Zealand markets.

We are entering our next stage of growth, and we’re looking for a COO who can turn that ambition into a focused, well-run commercial operation. This is also an opportunity to take increasing ownership of the business's overall direction and performance as Normal scales.

The Role.

You will take broad responsibility for how Normal plans, executes and grows. You’ll connect commercial priorities with the realities of inventory, cash flow, retail partnerships, product launches and a small team with plenty to do. You should be comfortable setting direction and getting close to the detail when needed.

You will

- Own the operating plan, priorities, budgets and performance rhythm across the business.
- Lead commercial planning across DTC and B2B, including our major retail partnerships and smaller wholesale accounts.
- Build reliable forecasts for revenue, stock, cash needs and launches, and use them to make clear trade-offs.
- Improve the systems and processes that support product development, supply chain management, fulfilment, customer experience, and international growth.
- Manage key external partners and help build the team and leadership structure needed for the next stage.

- Work closely with marketing and customer acquisition functions to drive customer acquisition, retention and LTV growth.
- Give founders and stakeholders a clear view of performance, risks and decisions.
- Oversee the development and execution of a growth strategy, including customer research, market analysis, product development, partnerships, range / audience expansion and more.

About You. You have led operations or a broad commercial function in a growing consumer brand, ideally with ecommerce experience, and ideally large retail or wholesale exposure.

You understand the connection between growth, margin, inventory and cash, and you know how to create structure without slowing a small business down.

You are commercially sharp, calm under pressure and willing to own outcomes. You can build trust with retail partners, lead a team, make decisions with incomplete information and communicate directly. You are data-driven, and can comfortably build a financial model and read key financial statements. Experience taking a consumer business through a comparable growth stage would be especially valuable.

A background in sexual wellness is not required for this role - you do need genuine respect for our mission and the ability to work confidently in a category that calls for care, creativity and sound judgement.

You must have full working rights in Australia without employer sponsorship.

To apply:

- Send an up-to-date CV (maximum 2 pages) and cover letter (maximum 300 words), to [email protected], sharing your relevant expertise - candidates will be contacted for interview on a rolling basis, so early submissions are recommended.

Package:

- Competitive remuneration package including salary, super & performance / equity incentives

Start date:

- Ideally starting by end of November 2026, but willing to be flexible for right candidate
