Ganenu ("our garden") is growing! Located in Bentleigh East, we are preparing to move into our brand-new building next year and expanding our warm, skilled and dedicated team of educators. If you are passionate about early childhood education and want to be part of an established centre entering an exciting new chapter, we'd love to hear from you.

We are building our casual pool for immediate, ongoing shifts at our current centre — with potential for ongoing permanent roles. We are also recruiting permanent Room Leader, Assistant Educator, Jewish Educator, Hebrew-Speaking Educator and Centre Cook positions for a 2027 start, to coincide with our new building opening.

The Roles

- Jewish Educators — bring Jewish culture, values and celebrations to life in our rooms

- Hebrew-Speaking Educators — support children's language exposure through everyday Hebrew

- Room Leaders — lead a room, mentor a small team, and build strong relationships with children and families

- Assistant Educators — support room leaders in delivering warm, engaging, play-based care

- Centre Cook — prepare nutritious, delicious meals for our children each day

- Casual Educators (immediate start) — join our casual pool now for flexible, ongoing shifts

Positions are available across our 0–5 age groups. Where you are placed will depend on your qualifications, experience and preference — so whether your passion is babies, toddlers or preschoolers, there's a place for you at Ganenu.

What You'll Be Doing

- Planning and delivering engaging, play-based learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)

- Supporting children's development across social, emotional, physical and cognitive areas





- Providing direct care and supervision, ensuring children's safety, health and wellbeing at all times

- Building strong, genuine relationships with children and families, and communicating regularly with parents about their child's progress

- Observing and documenting children's learning to inform individualised planning

- Maintaining a safe, clean and inclusive environment that meets all health and safety requirements

- Collaborating with your room team and centre leadership to deliver consistent, high-quality care

- (Centre Cook: preparing and serving nutritious meals in line with menu and dietary requirements, and maintaining kitchen hygiene and safety standards.)

What You'll Need

- An ACECQA-approved early childhood education and care qualification (Certificate III, Diploma or equivalent), or actively working towards one

- Full working rights in Australia
- A valid Working with Children Check

- Child safety training (or a willingness to complete this prior to starting)

- A current First Aid qualification, including CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma management

- Availability to work shifts across our opening hours — 7:30am to 6:00pm Monday to Thursday, and 7:30am to 5:00pm on Friday

- Robust communication and interpersonal skills, and a genuine passion for early childhood education

About Us

Ganenu is a Jewish early learning centre in Bentleigh East, currently operating as Gan Gabi and Rivki ELC. We're grounded in warmth, community and connection — fostering a love of Jewish culture, values and celebration alongside high-quality, play-based early childhood education.
