MME Underground Services is seeking skilled and experienced Excavator Operators to join our growing team in Perth.
Specialising in underground services and civil infrastructure, MME Underground Services delivers projects across a range of environments, including complex works involving live underground utilities and existing infrastructure.
With continued growth and ongoing project demands, we are looking for safety-focused operators with proven experience in underground services who take pride in delivering quality work. Candidates with Western Power experience and a strong understanding of working around underground electrical infrastructure are highly encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate excavators ranging from 3.5 tonne to 30 tonne across underground services and civil infrastructure projects.
- Safely excavate around existing underground services and live utilities.
- Undertake excavation works associated with underground power and Western Power projects.
- Assist with hauling and handling power cables as required.
- Complete reinstatement works to the required standard.
- Interpret construction drawings and plans to ensure works are completed accurately.
- Undertake digging to level, boxing out, battering and general civil works.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality and productivity across all site activities.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum three years' experience operating excavators from 3.5 tonne to 30 tonne on civil, drainage, underground services or infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated experience working around live underground services.
- Western Power experience is highly desirable.
- Valid Australian MR or HR driver's licence.
- Power Cable Hauling – Experience hauling and installing LV and HV power cables, including the use of cable winches, rollers and associated equipment.
- Construction White Card.
- Reinstatement Works – Experience reinstating footpaths, concrete, asphalt, paving, kerbing and other disturbed surfaces.
