The Opportunity ROUSSOS Recruitment is partnering with a well-regarded South Australian civil contractor that is adding to its estimating team on the back of significant recent project wins.

Our client self-performs a broad range of civil and associated works, delivering projects for both public and private sector clients across a variety of industries.

With a healthy forward workload and continued growth planned, this is a newly created position offering stability, variety and real scope to build your career.

The Role

Working closely with senior estimators and reporting to the head of the estimating function, you will be involved in tenders from first review through to handover.

Your responsibilities will include

- Interpreting drawings, specifications and tender documents
- Completing quantity take-offs and building up accurate estimates and cost plans
- Sourcing and evaluating quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
- Identifying project risks, opportunities and key requirements




- Contributing to methodology and material selection decisions
- Compiling tender submissions and pre-qualification documents
- Working with project teams, suppliers and subcontractors throughout the tender process
- Assisting with the handover of successful tenders to the delivery team

The Like Mind You are an estimator with a few years of civil construction experience behind you, looking for a business where you can keep learning and take on more over time.

You will ideally have

- Previous estimating experience with a civil contractor
- A tertiary qualification in engineering, construction management or a related discipline
- Knowledge of the South Australian construction market
- Solid take-off and tendering skills
- A strong head for numbers and attention to detail
- Confident communication skills and the ability to build good working relationships
- A proactive, team-oriented approach
