Masonic Care WA is seeking reliable, caring Cleaners and Service Assistants to join our team at Howard Solomon Residential Care in Ferndale.

Masonic Care WA is a Western Australian not-for-profit organisation providing residential aged care, retirement living and accommodation services to older people across metropolitan and regional WA.

The Roles

You will help maintain a clean, comfortable home and support residents’ dining experience. Depending on your role, duties include:

Cleaners

- Clean residents’ rooms, bathrooms and shared areas in line with cleaning schedules and infection prevention procedures.
- Vacuum, mop, dust, sanitise surfaces and remove waste, respecting residents’ privacy and personal belongings.
- Safely use and store cleaning products and equipment, and report maintenance issues or hazards.

Service Assistants

- Assist with basic food preparation, set up meal trays and prepare dining areas for service.




- Serve meals and drinks in accordance with residents’ dietary requirements and instructions from the catering and care teams.
- Transparent tables, wash dishes and clean kitchen and dining areas, following food safety and hygiene procedures.

What We’re Looking For

- Previous cleaning or food service experience, preferably in aged care.
- A friendly, respectful approach to residents.
- Reliability, attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to follow procedures and complete required training.

Additional requirements

Applicants must provide

- A current National Police Clearance (no older than three months).
- Appropriate evidence of their right to work in Australia.
