Client Partner
- Salary: $110k-$120k + super
- Location: Hybrid (2 days per week on-site Homebush West)
- Varied role, never a dull moment
About the business Our client is a growing strategy and creative consultancy that works with organisations on some interesting business, brand and communications challenges.
They’re deliberately different from a traditional agency. The team works closely with clients at a senior level, combining strategy, creative, communications and practical delivery to help clients navigate complex projects and bring ideas to life.
The business has grown quickly over the past couple of years and is now building out its Sydney presence. The team is small, experienced and genuinely collaborative, with senior people based across Sydney and Melbourne.
They’re now looking for a Client Partner to become an important part of the Sydney team and work closely with one of their major clients on a very important long-term project.
About the role
This isn’t a traditional account management role. It’s a mix of client relationships, project management, production, stakeholder management and getting stuck in.
Around 70% of your time will be dedicated to one major client, where you’ll become a familiar face within their business and work across a large and diverse stakeholder group.
The role is based in Sydney, with 2 days per week onsite at the client’s office in Homebush West. The remaining days are generally worked from home, with some flexibility depending on client and project needs.
You’ll be the person who keeps the moving parts moving, makes sure everyone knows what’s happening and helps turn ideas and requests into clear, well-managed projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Partnership & Briefing: Get out from behind the desk to build deep relationships across the client’s business. Uncover core needs and translate them into sharp, clear project briefs for the creative and strategy teams.
- Project & Production Delivery: Own timelines, budgets, scope, and quality from brief to execution, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.
- Stakeholder & External Coordination: Seamlessly manage competing priorities across senior executives, government partners, suppliers, and external production teams.
- Content Quality & Oversight: Proofread, review, and safeguard output before it lands with the client or public.
- Cross-Account Support: Assist with wider consultancy clients and contribute to the growth of the Sydney office.
About you You might come from an agency account management, client services, project management, production, studio management, communications or events background.
What matters most is how you work.
You’ll be someone who:
- Quick-Paced Agency Experience: You thrive in dynamic environments with multiple moving parts, fast turnarounds, and shifting priorities.
- Relationship & Partnership Focus: You are naturally personable, build trust effortlessly, and comfortably navigate conversations with senior corporate stakeholders.
- Hands-On & Proactive:
You are practical and eager to roll up your sleeves to get things done rather than operating only at a high-level strategic plane.
- Strong Operational Radar: Exceptional organizational skills, strict attention to detail, and sound judgment on when to escalate issues versus driving forward independently.
- Curiosity & Commercial Acumen: Genuinely interested in how businesses run and driven to find the underlying truth behind a brief.
Someone with 3-5+ years in a fast-paced agency or similar environment could be a great fit if they have the right attitude, organisation and people skills. Most importantly, you need to be personable. This is a very relationship-driven role, and the ability to build trust with people at all levels will be a big part of your success.
What’s on offer
- Competitive Salary: $110k–$120k + Super (flexible for the right candidate).
- Workplace Flexibility: Hybrid model with ~2 days/week onsite at the Homebush West client office and WFH flexibility for the remainder.
- Impact & Variety: High visibility on a career-defining project with room to shape the consultancy’s Sydney presence.
- Collaborative Team Culture: Direct access to a supportive senior team, including quarterly team connection and calibration trips to Melbourne.
Eligibility: Candidates must hold Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency to be considered. Sponsorship is not available for this role. If you’re someone who likes people, loves being organised and gets a strange amount of satisfaction from making complicated things feel simple, we’d love to hear from you. Please click apply now.
