The Primary Care and Community Health Unit consists of 9 centres that provide a range of services for children, young people and their families, adults, older people and their carers. Are you an organised and proactive administrator with a passion for supporting healthcare teams to deliver exceptional patient care? An exciting opportunity exists for an Administration Clinical Support Officer (CSO) to join our Child and Family Health team.
In this position, you will provide timely, accurate and high-quality administrative support to Child and Family Health Nursing staff, enabling the team to deliver safe, effective and family-centred services to the community.
Working under the direction of the Nurse Unit Manager, you will manage a range of administrative and transactional functions, support day-to-day operations, and contribute to the smooth coordination of clinical services.
As a valued member of the team, you will work collaboratively with nursing and administrative staff, complementing existing systems and processes while helping to maintain efficient service delivery. You will be expected to exercise initiative, sound judgement and organisational skills when applying established procedures, managing competing priorities and responding to operational requirements.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a busy healthcare environment. What you will bring to the role
1.
Hold or is willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health Administration or equivalent within 12 months of appointment to the position.
2. Excellent communication skills including accurate spelling, good comprehension, confidence in the spoken work and ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels.
3. Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office, word processing, spreadsheets, database software.
4. Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
5. Capacity to work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high pressure and high-volume work workplace.
6. Experience in preparation of written communication such as reports, agendas, and minutes
7. Previous experience in a health care setting.
8. Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel
