About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Club Manager to lead our Fernwood Fitness club located in Parramatta, NSW. This is a full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to manage all aspects of a thriving fitness facility whilst building and nurturing a strong community culture.

As Club

Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operational excellence, profitability and member satisfaction of the club. You will lead a talented team, drive business development initiatives and ensure the highest standards of customer service are maintained at all times. This role is pivotal in delivering on our brand promise and creating an exceptional member experience that keeps people coming back.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee all daily operations of the club including facility management, maintenance, cleanliness and safety standards
- Lead, manage, motivate and develop a high-performing team, including fitness instructors, personal trainers and administrative staff
- Drive membership sales, retention and engagement through strategic marketing initiatives and member relationship programmes
- Manage the club budget,



financial performance and profitability, ensuring targets are met and exceeded
- Develop and implement strategies to increase member acquisition and reduce member attrition
- Foster a positive and inclusive club culture that aligns with Fernwood values and creates a welcoming environment for all members
- Manage member services, complaints and feedback to ensure outstanding customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Implement and maintain health, safety and compliance standards in accordance with relevant regulations and Fernwood policies
- Build strong relationships with local community organisations and develop partnerships that enhance the club's profile and offerings
- Report on club performance metrics and provide regular updates to head office stakeholders

What we're looking for

- Proven experience in fitness club management or similar hospitality/service-based management environment
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams
- Demonstrated sales and business development experience with a track record of achieving or exceeding targets
- Excellent financial acumen with experience in budget management and P&L; responsibility
- Customer service excellence and ability to build lasting member relationships




- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of health, safety and compliance requirements in fitness facilities
- Proficiency in club management software and general IT systems
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Passion for fitness, wellness and creating community
- Valid driver's license and ability to work flexible hours including weekends
- Preferred: Certificate IV in Fitness or related qualification; experience with member retention strategies; experience in a franchise environment
