Based in Western Australia, FBR is a cutting-edge robotic technology company set to revolutionise the construction and heavy fabrication industries through automation and digitalisation.

With Hadrian already building houses in the real world, we're now scaling up production of Mantis, a high-deposition welding robot that delivers up to 4x the productivity of manual welding for the mining, shipbuilding and defence sectors. We're looking for skilled machinists to help us get there.

OUR OPPORTUNITY:

As a CNC Machinist, you'll be a crucial member of our manufacturing team as we ramp up production of Mantis and continue to support Hadrian. You'll be extremely hands-on, pay close attention to detail and be able to think outside the square whilst solving problems you may not have encountered before.

You will be responsible for operating computer-controlled (CNC)



machines to manufacture specialised milled and turned parts for Mantis and Hadrian robots.

ESSENTIAL:

- Trade qualified (Certificate IV in Engineering)
- Experience with Haas 5-axis CNC machining centre (UMC750)
- Experience with Doosan 3-axis machining centres (DNM6700) with Fanuc control
- Experience with Haas 3-axis machining centres (VM series)
- Experience with Doosan turning centre with C-axis and live tooling (GT2600XLMB)
- Experience with efficient, high-speed machining of 6061-T6 billet parts
- Experience machining a variety of materials such as 5083, mild steel, 4140, K1045, 316, 440, UHMWPE, Acetal, Bronze and others
- Experience with QC using measuring tools including micrometers, height gauges and gauges

DESIRABLE:

- CAM programming experience. Creo is preferred, but experience with Mastercam, hyperMILL or SolidWorks/SolidCAM is also highly regarded.
