- Complex, sophisticated disputes
- Hands-on experience with a growing, award-winning boutique firm
- Opportunity for lawyers who have specialised in a niche area of disputes to move into a broader commercial litigation role
Opportunity for a Commercial Litigation Associate to join a specialist firm that has built an impressive reputation for the quality and complexity of its work.
The firm has experienced significant growth, building a strong reputation and gaining recognition in leading legal industry awards and rankings. Due to further expansion, they are looking to appoint an Associate with around 3-5 PQE.
The partners are open to lawyers who have specialised in insolvency, regulatory investigations or other areas of commercial disputes and are keen to broaden their experience. This is an excellent prospect to develop a broader commercial litigation practice while continuing to build on your existing expertise.
Why Join
- Work on high-quality, sophisticated matters across commercial litigation, insolvency and restructuring, shareholder and corporate disputes, financial disputes, fraud and asset recovery, regulatory investigations, international disputes and arbitration.
- Gain hands-on experience, with lawyers encouraged to take ownership of matters, contribute to litigation strategy and work directly with clients, rather than purely supporting senior lawyers.
- Join a growing firm with plenty of career opportunities to develop your technical skills,
take on more responsibility and progress through the ranks.
- Enjoy reasonable working hours with a 6.5-hour daily billable target and a culture that values high-quality work without consistently long hours.
- Join a forward-thinking firm with a modern approach that invests heavily in legal technology and AI to improve efficiency.
The Opportunity
- You'll work closely with experienced litigation partners on challenging, often high-value disputes.
- The firm takes a hands-on approach to litigation, giving lawyers the opportunity to be involved in matters from strategy and pleadings through to court proceedings and resolution.
- There's plenty of scope to develop your own matter-running skills and take on greater responsibility as your experience grows.
About You
- You'll ideally have 3-5 years' PQE in commercial litigation, disputes or contentious insolvency, with solid hands-on experience across the litigation process.
- Strong technical skills, sound judgement and an interest in developing your career within a specialist practice.
If you're looking for sophisticated litigation work in a firm where you'll be given responsibility, supported to develop and have a life outside work, this is an opportunity worth exploring.
