Positioned on King Street Wharf and just moments from Barangaroo, the CBD and ICC Sydney, our 114 beautifully redesigned studios and apartments provide guests with the comfort, flexibility and space to stay their own way. We are seeking a passionate and motivated Commis Chef to join our Kitchen team and play a key role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

The Role

As a Commis Chef, you'll work alongside an experienced culinary team to prepare fresh, high-quality dishes while building your skills in a fast-paced hotel environment. You'll bring enthusiasm, attention to detail and a genuine passion for hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and present menu items to brand and quality standards
- Assist with daily food preparation and service across breakfast, functions and events
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
- Support stock rotation, storage and waste management practices
- Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen and hotel team




- Contribute ideas and energy to continuously improve the guest dining experience

What You'll Bring

Essential

- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, hotel or hospitality setting
- A genuine passion for food and culinary excellence
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Desirable

- Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery or currently working towards one
- Experience in hotel, conferencing or event catering environments
