A brand-new United Co. location is coming to the CBD, and we're looking for someone to lead it!
We're a proudly independent, Melbourne-owned flexible workspace provider, and we're preparing to launch our newest location in the heart of the CBD. We believe a workspace should do more than facilitate work, it should inspire innovation, collaboration and well-being. We need a hands-on leader to bring that vision to life at 459 Little Collins Street.
About the Role
As our Community & Centre Manager, you'll be the face and the engine room of our newest centre, welcoming members every day, leading a small onsite team, and making sure everything from the coffee machine to the boardroom bookings runs like clockwork. This is a role for someone who genuinely loves people, thrives on solving problems before they become issues, and takes real pride in a beautifully run space. You'll build a professional community that members are proud to be part of, drive occupancy and retention, and ensure the centre consistently operates to the highest standard - every single day.
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading the daily operations of the centre to ensure a seamless member experience
- Building strong relationships with members and fostering an engaged, welcoming community
- Managing reception and customer service functions
- Leading, coaching and supporting the onsite team, including customer service and housekeeping
- Identifying, troubleshooting and reporting necessary building maintenance
- Driving and overseeing cleaning and contractor activity
- Conducting building inspections and maintaining presentation standards across offices, common areas, meeting rooms and exteriors
- Conducting tours and selling office, dedicated desk and coworking memberships
- Working closely with the sales team to maximise occupancy and member retention
- Managing member onboarding, renewals,
offboarding and general account administration
- Responding promptly and professionally to member enquiries and operational issues
- Booking and coordinating meeting rooms and events for an optimal guest experience
- Coordinating community engagement activities that bring our members together
- Ensuring compliance with workplace health and safety requirements
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a customer-facing leadership role - coworking, hospitality, property, or a similar service-driven environment
- A natural community-builder who's approachable, organised, and calm under pressure
- Strong operational instincts, with an eye for detail and presentation
- Confidence leading and coaching a small team
- Comfort balancing relationship-building with sales targets and KPIs
- Genuine care for the people and the space you're responsible for
The Details Location: 459 Little Collins Street, Melbourne
Start Date: 2nd November 2026
Training: Two weeks at our Fitzroy centre, so you're fully set up before opening day
Salary: $80,000 plus superannuation, with a quarterly bonus tied to KPI achievement
