We are looking for an experienced Completions Engineer to join our South Australian team and play a key role in driving projects through the final stages of construction, ensuring a high-quality finish and successful handover to our clients.

The Completions Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the successful completion, commissioning support and seamless handover of project works to our clients.

The Opportunity

Working closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager and broader project team, you will take ownership of the completion, defects, commissioning and handover process.

Your responsibilities will include

- Leading and managing all project completion and handover activities to ensure the successful transition of completed works to the client.
- Working closely with the project delivery teams, subcontractors, consultants, client representatives and the Commissioning Manager.
- Ensuring all contractual, quality, operational, statutory and Defence specific requirements are achieved prior to practical completion and final handover.
- Coordinating all project close-out activities, managing completion milestones, ensuring compliance with Defence Estate policies and procedures.
- Facilitating the successful transfer of assets, documentation, data and operational knowledge to Defence and all other end users.

About You You will be an experienced construction professional who understands what it takes to successfully bring a complex project to completion.

You will have

- A degree or qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
- Experience working at a Tier 1 or major construction environment




- Experience in project completion, defects, commissioning or handover
- Previous experience with HOTO processes will be highly regarded
- Experience delivering commercial building projects will be advantageous
- A strong understanding of construction processes, quality and project documentation
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- The ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and drive outstanding items through to completion
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- A proactive approach and the confidence to follow issues through to resolution

Defence Project Requirement This position is a site based position supporting projects within the defence sector. Australian citizenship is preferred, or citizenship of a Five Eyes (FVEY) country required due to project security and access requirements, this includes United Kingdom, USA, Canada and New Zealand.
