The successful candidate will assist with the efficient and effective contract administration and reporting, as well as the overall contract flow from the order placement to the closure of the order. You will also ensure that the documentation is generated and maintained to a high standard.

The successful candidate will report to the Contracts and Administration Manager, providing vital support to the company, ensuring the effective and seamless day-to-day operations of Australian Steel Traders.

Knowledge and Experience

Minimum 4 years of experience in a similar role

Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.

Experience in filing and database management

Demonstrated experience in reviewing contracts and invoices and preparing payment documentation.

Demonstrated experience in financial modelling and in preparing monthly financial reports.

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Experience with Myob, accounting or financial management platforms

Working knowledge of AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT or Claude for reporting,



document review or process automation

Desirable

- Experience in importing, logistics, construction or infrastructure projects
- Experience in economic or financial evaluation of projects

Key responsibilities

- Administer supplier, customer and service provider contracts across the full order cycle, from placement to close-out.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on all matters relating to the relevant contract.
- Review contractual documentation to confirm it complies with agreed terms, specifications and timeframes.
- Review and validate commercial documents including import documentations from the suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers and service providers against contracts, quotes and purchase orders.
- Prepare payment support documentation as evidence for accounting and financial records.
- Build and maintain financial models to track the costs, margins and economic performance of orders and projects.
- Prepare and present monthly financial and economic reports to management.
- Coordinate with suppliers, traders, customers and the accounts team so that contractual, operational and financial information is accurate and consistent.
- Monitor compliance with contractual deadlines, specifications and regulatory requirements, including customs, trade documentation.
- Maintain accurate, traceable records in the company's ERP and financial platforms.
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation, including through AI tools.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $85,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
