Henny’s Deli is coming to Darling Street, Rozelle. We're looking for an experienced café cook to join our opening kitchen team and help us deliver fresh, quality food every day.

Henny’s Deli is a new neighbourhood café and deli opening at 618 Darling Street, Rozelle.

Our focus is simple: fresh food, great coffee and a relaxed neighbourhood atmosphere backed by friendly, efficient service.

We're looking for a capable and reliable Cook to join our team as we launch the venue.

About the role

You'll be working within our kitchen preparing and cooking menu items while ensuring food leaves the kitchen consistently, efficiently and to a high standard.

Your responsibilities will include

- Preparing and cooking menu items
- Daily food preparation
- Maintaining consistency in portioning and presentation
- Managing orders during busy service periods
- Monitoring stock and communicating shortages
- Receiving and storing ingredients correctly
- Following recipes and preparation procedures
- Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- Following food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures
- Assisting with opening and closing kitchen procedures




- Working closely with the sandwich/prep and front-of-house teams

About you Ideally, you'll have:
- Previous experience cooking in a café, deli or similar hospitality environment
- Strong food preparation and organisational skills
- Confidence working through busy breakfast/lunch services
- A good understanding of food safety and hygiene
- Ability to work efficiently and independently
- Attention to consistency and presentation
- A calm attitude when things get busy
- Reliability and punctuality
- Availability for morning and weekend work

Relevant cookery qualifications are welcome, although practical experience and ability are important to us.

Pay: $55,100.00 – $85,200.00 per year
