Role details The Dysart Hospital is seeking applications for a Cook to join their team on a permanent basis.

This position is located in Dysart. Accommodation, transport and/or relocation is the responsibility of the successful applicant.

Your opportunity The purpose of this position is to provide an effective and efficient catering service through the production of quality food menu items, for a variety of clients and dietary requirements. This position has strong emphasis on food safety according to Australian New Zealand Safety Authority (ANFSA) and the Dysart Hospital Food Safety Plan.

About The Team

Dysart hospital is a 9-bed facility with a 24-hour emergency department, general medicine, palliative care, respite care and management of telehealth conferencing.



The scope of the hospital includes the Dysart and Middlemount Community Health centres which provide antenatal support, health promotion, specialist visits, and school health support.

Dysart Health

Service is in the Isaac Regional Shire in the town of Dysart, approximately 250km south-west from Mackay. A journey which takes approximately 2 ½ hours.
