This is a permanent part-time (0.3FTE) position commencing November 2026 Gifted and talented students from regional areas have wonderful boarding experiences at City Beach Residential College while they attend some of Perth's best secondary schools.
Our college is a home away from home for students who are enrolled in Gifted and Talented Secondary Selective Entrance programs at selected public schools in the Perth metro area.
Students will be able to live in Perth with other students from regional areas. Our college is located in a bush setting close to the beach and allows students to share the experience of being in a Gifted and Talented Secondary Selective Entrance program.
The Role The successful applicant will ensure high levels of quality control, storage and hygiene are maintained in accordance with occupational safety and health standards and requirements. They will provide meals of a high standard, manage day-to-day catering requirements of the college and external groups and cater for special occasions and functions as required.

- catering for special dietary requirements
- stock control
- purchasing goods

- Demonstrated ability to carry out the duties of a cook, for 50 to 110 students, to a high standard, including catering for special dietary requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and control stock and uphold health and safety standards in relation to food and kitchen hygiene.
- Demonstrated good organisational skills with the ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to youth.
- Demonstrated flexibility in response to changing work needs.
