Responsibilities Your duties will include: Inspecting ingredients, especially traditional Indonesian staples like spices, herbs, and fresh produce, to ensure they meet quality and freshness standards Regulating the temperature of cooking equipment such as woks and grills Preparing and cooking a variety of authentic Indonesian dishes, including satay, rendang, nasi goreng and curry Seasoning food with signature Indonesian flavors such as sambal, lemongrass, galangal, and turmeric during the cooking process Portioning and plating dishes with attention to presentation Properly storing ingredients in temperature-controlled conditions to maintain freshness and prevent spoilage Preparing meals to accommodate dietary preferences or restrictions, including vegetarian or halal options, in line with Indonesian culinary practices May assist in planning daily or weekly menus that reflect regional Indonesian specialties and estimating ingredient needs accordingly May also be involved in training junior kitchen staff and apprentices Qualification &
