About the Role

Gympie Regional Council is seeking a full time Growth Management Coordinator on a 24-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the Manager Planning Strategy and Growth, you will lead Council's growth management program and act as the technical authority on growth and development sequencing.

Duties

- Lead Council's growth management program and deliver the Growth Management Strategy

- Coordinate structure plans and development frameworks for priority growth areas

- Manage strategic planning projects from planning through to delivery

- Provide advice on land supply, growth opportunities and development sequencing

- Work with infrastructure, finance, asset teams, State Government, developers and utilities

Skills & Experience

- Tertiary qualification in Urban Planning, Development Management, Construction, or Project Management

- Demonstrated experience in growth management or strategic land use planning in government

- Extensive experience managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects and stakeholder coordination





- Skilled negotiator and collaborator with sound professional judgement on complex growth issues

- Current Queensland C Class Driver Licence (or ability to obtain) and availability for occasional after-hours work

Benefits

- $120,225 to $127,632 PLUS 15% Super (increasing to 16% from July 2027)
