Position Overview:

Our client is a well-established and growing global business, who is seeking a hands-on Corporate Accountant to join their finance team on an initial 6-month fixed-term contract, with a strong possibility of transitioning into a permanent position due to recent growth.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, and being a key contributor within a high-performing finance function. We're looking for a genuine accountant who can step in, take responsibility for core corporate accounting activities, and provide reliable financial leadership from day one.

The Opportunity: Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in supporting the organisation's finance function across month-end reporting, group consolidation, statutory compliance, tax, audit coordination, and financial control activities.

This is a broad role offering significant autonomy and exposure across the business, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working across both financial reporting and operational finance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments and provisions.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
- Manage group consolidations, intercompany transactions and eliminations.
- Assist with management reporting, board reporting and financial analysis.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Prepare statutory accounts and coordinate external audit requirements.
- Manage BAS, FBT, payroll tax and other compliance obligations.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and treasury reporting.




- Maintain fixed asset registers and lease accounting schedules.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance processes, controls and reporting.
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide commercial and accounting support.

About You:

- CA or CPA qualified is essential.
- Immediately available or on a short notice period.
- Proven experience in a Corporate Accountant, Financial Accountant or Senior Accountant role.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including consolidations and statutory reporting.
- Experience managing month-end processes and balance sheet integrity.
- Sound tax and compliance knowledge.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong ERP experience.
- Self-motivated, proactive and comfortable working independently.
- Strong attention to detail with the confidence to challenge and improve existing processes.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
